If you want your mobile and computer to be safe, then do not ignore this warning. Update Chrome and Android to the latest version now and protect yourself from cyber attacks.

If you use Google Chrome browser or have an Android mobile, then this news is very important for you. The Indian government’s cyber security agency CERT-In (Indian Computer Emergency Response Team) has issued a high-risk security alert. The agency has clearly stated that some dangerous flaws have been found in Chrome and Android, which hackers can take advantage of to attack your device.

Alarm bells for Chrome users

CERT-In said that some versions of Google Chrome browser running on Windows, Mac and Linux have serious vulnerabilities. Due to these flaws, a hacker can send you to a special website and run dangerous code on your computer. This can:

  1. Your system can be hacked
  2. Your personal information can be stolen
  3. The system can crash and stop working

Which versions are at risk?

  1. Linux: Versions before 137.0.7151.55
  2. Windows and Mac: Versions before 137.0.7151.55/56

What to do?

Update Google Chrome to the latest version immediately. This update can be done by going to the Chrome website or browser settings.

Android users be careful

CERT-In has also issued an alert for mobile phones running on Android 13, 14 and 15. According to the report, flaws have been found in many parts of the Android system such as Framework, Android Runtime, System, Google Play, and components of hardware companies (such as Qualcomm and Arm).

By taking advantage of these vulnerabilities, hackers:

  1. Can steal your phone’s data
  2. Can take more control without your permission
  3. Can damage or shut down your phone

What to do?

Update your phone’s software immediately. As soon as your mobile brand (Samsung, Xiaomi, Realme etc.) releases a new security update, install it immediately.

Why is this update necessary?

CERT-In says that these flaws are so serious that not only common users but also companies and government institutions can be affected by them. Therefore, everyone has been appealed to update their devices to the latest version and avoid clicking on any unknown link or website.

If you want your mobile and computer to be safe, then do not ignore this warning. Update the latest version of Chrome and Android now and protect yourself from cyber attacks.
