Ahmedabad plane crash- 265 bodies brought to hospital: DNA sampling continues; Black box’s digital video recorder found in flight debris

So far, 265 bodies have been recovered from the plane crash in Ahmedabad. Out of these, 241 were passengers and crew members on board the plane. 5 deceased are from the medical hostel where the plane crashed.

More than 50 people were present at the BJ Medical College hostel where the plane crashed. However, it is not yet clear how many deaths have occurred in the hostel. There are reports of 4 MBBS students and a doctor’s wife being killed.

At the same time, Gujarat ATS has recovered the digital video recorder (DVR) of the flight from the wreckage of the plane. An ATS official said that the forensic team will come here soon.

Earlier on Friday morning, PM Modi reached Ahmedabad. First of all, he visited the spot. After this, he went to the civil hospital, where he met the victims for about 10 minutes.

Air India’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner flight AI-171 took off from Ahmedabad to London at 1:38 pm on Thursday. There were a total of 230 passengers on board, including 169 Indians, 53 British, 7 Portuguese and a Canadian citizen. The flight crashed two minutes later.

There were 103 men, 114 women, 11 children and 2 newborns. The remaining 12 were crew members. Former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani is also among the dead, while only one passenger survived.
